My family is in Portland en route to a wedding. "Talk of the Town" as everyone is buzzing about the courage of the protesters. Hope and pray that all remain cool and statement doesn't end in tragedy!

24. My encounter with Greenpeace.

Once many years ago the Rainbow Warrior was docked in Port Huron Michigan. My elderly dad, my wife and I had a long walk to reach the ship to photograph it. Just as we arrived at the ship a thunder storm came up and it began to rain. Someone onboard the ship saw us in the rain and welcomed us aboard, led us to the galley for hot coffee and those present engaged us in conversation about the mission, and supplied us with all kinds of interesting information. We stayed until the storm was over and it was goodbyes all around. That was a class act. Bless you guys and your efforts to save our environment Greenpeace we love you!
