nice try pence....shit for brains
Gov. Mike Pence, a Republican, on July 16 ordered an investigation of Planned Parenthood facilities in Indianapolis, Bloomington and Merrillville to see if organs from aborted fetuses were being sold. He was among a number of conservative lawmakers around the country who have called for investigations after an anti-abortion group circulated a video it made secretly showing some of its national officials discussing how they obtain organs from aborted fetuses for research. Planned Parenthood, the nations largest provider of abortions, has said its donations of fetal tissue for research are legal.
The Indiana Department of Health said in a statement Thursday that an investigation found no evidence of any laws being broken. Health department inspectors investigated the Indiana facilities on July 21.
Letters from the health department to the three Indiana facilities dated Tuesday and released to the media by Planned Parenthood said the agency had completed its investigation into the Planned Parenthood facilities that perform abortions in Indiana. The letters said the agency was unable to find any non-compliance with state regulations. Therefore, no deficiencies were cited. The letters say the complaint is closed.

I would wager that he was hoping that the accusations against PP were true, so he could don his white hat and become their hero again.

"The complaint is closed" but the complaining and propagandizing will not end until Fox orders it to end.
But this time there has to be consequences for malicious defamation.

(1,254 posts)Allowing to NEGOTIATE and collect reimbursement fees LEGALLY gives abortion providers that power. Lets be honest, because they have that legal authority, what clinic ISN'T GOING TO TRY to get as much as possible. Nothing in the law prohibits providers from NEGOTIATING fees and there is no specified limits other than the term "REASONABLE". So NO MATTER how these videos PORTRAY these discussions, PP has the legal defense they are NEGOTIATING reimbursements fees. What is RELEVANT is what the law says. PP is operating from the technical provision of the law. Pro-life groups and people opposed to abortions look at this emotionally and can not understand that despite what they think and feel, THERE IS NO TECHNICAL BREAKING OF THE LAW.

(23,946 posts)Did I mention your comment is utter nonsense?
Does "dead baby parts" make you queasy? How about "preserved fetal human stem cell tissue"? More comfy now?
All comfy now over the female medical specialists at PP, like thousands of human tissue donation medical facilities all over the world, being reimbursed 20 bucks for transport of highly perishable human tissue?
For life-saving medical research. Approved by Republicans and made into law. To save lives. Did you know where these medical specimens end up and what they are used for?
Pro-birth, not pro-life, indeed.

(2,472 posts)Indianapolis and Bloomington, are pretty close to each other, in the middle of Indiana. Merrillville, where I live, is in the very NW corner and is a suburb of Chicago. In the rest of the state, women are out of luck when it comes to finding a clinic they can go to.

Bonus for these low-brow self-made victims of religious zealotry and Fox propaganda....poor black women will suffer the most.
It is all, to me, pure secular evil driven by self-loathing and a pathological clinging to the baked-in victimhood mentality of all religious zealots, all just to give meaning to their otherwise utterly empty and meaningless time on the planet.
Was there ever a better cloaking device invented for evil than the blanket of victimhood?
I say that in a tone of pity more than anger.

(707 posts)Who all do you know works for Magic Circle aka Dixie Chopper? My grandfathers store was their largest dealer here in Oklahoma for years I have been there 3 times and loved the area. I stayed at the airport one time before going to a Colts game that they took us to. It was so small of an airport to have rooms to stay in.

(2,642 posts)There are other clinics, including one in Fort Wayne and South Bend. There are others as well.
There are other providers besides PP.
PP also has other locations that do not perform abortions.

That's what O'Keefe does.
If his name is associated with any of these videos they are a scam and should be discarded immediately. What he did to ACORN was criminal and he should be behind jail for slander.

(6,278 posts)These people aren't stupid, they're evil. They know that even when the message is "this is not happening," just repeating the charge strengthens the subconscious link in people's minds between Planned Parenthood and the selling of organs.
This is a generic dilemma for debunkers, psychologically - you can carefully explain why a bogus story is bogus, but the act of debunking itself often lends the story more cognitive salience than it deserves - or might have had were it left unchallenged.

(6,278 posts)Where it gets tricky is playing whack-a-mole about something like climate change denial. But lies about the integrity of an organization are different.
But the common element is that repetition is psychologically powerful, even when what is being repeated is acknowledged not to be true.
