Laugh all you want about Liberty Univ but their biggest single employer is Uncle Sam.

Through their Helms School of Government they can receive BS or BA degrees in Government.

Then off they go to FBI,CIA, FCC, SEC, CDC, Marine Lab and research and every other agency. All with aim of eventual gov takeover and to see that regulation fit their point of view or are cut off at the pass.

This has been going on for a long time. The GOP is playing the long game and we are always surprised. The Dems need to learn the process of government and build a backbench of candidates for every office.

Remember civil service will outlast any administration.

As they progress, they screw up government agencies. Then those agencies get privatized. Private companies don't hire idiots, or at least try not to.

They are lucrative jobs for life, for the most part. Even the heads of said institutions are often political appointees, but not the daily nuts and bolts type. Fat pensions and cushy health care for the family and for life.

It's why no President gets to waltz into office and start keeping all his good intentions/ campaign promises.

That's why we need to stay patient with Obama, put up good candidates, help him get Lib/Progressive Congressional support, and re-elect him. Second terms are infinitely more productive...regardless of the party.
