NBC/Marist Poll: Obama Leads Romney In Ohio, Virginia And Florida

NBC/Marist Poll: Obama Leads Romney In Ohio, Virginia And Florida

A trio of polls released Thursday give President Barack Obama marginal leads over presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney in three crucial swing states.

The latest NBC/Marist surveys polled registered voters in Ohio, Virginia and Florida. Obama enjoys his largest lead over Romney in Ohio, where NBC/Marist found the president favored by voters over the former Massachusetts governor, 48 percent to 42 percent. The president’s leads over Romney in Virginia and Florida are identical: 48 percent to 44 percent.

Not only will the three states figure prominently in the 2012 electoral college map; they are also home to three elected officials rumored to be on Romney’s veep shortlist. The bad news for Romney: tapping Ohio Sen. Rob Portman (R), Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) or Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) as a running mate would not improve the Republican ticket’s chances in their respective stomping grounds. The NBC/Marist poll found there is little change in the three swing states when Portman, McDonnell or Rubio are added to the hypothetical matchup, with the Democratic ticket of Obama and Vice President Joe Biden maintaining their leads in all three states.

I'm surprised no-one is talking about that.

My station even mentioned a poll that showed RMoney ahead. No mention of this one and we're a NBC station!! Go figure!

But the demographics are brutal for Romney because he loses big
w/ women, gays, hispanics, workers, blacks, the young and with
other groups too. Although we all need to worker even harder in order
to help in the down ticket races.

by 7 the other day, and before this poll you have Gov Scott trying to overturn and suppress voter turnout. Politicians do have internal personal polls as each political party and the government and I believe they know basically (not a exact science) but a close to it, what may be the outcome, and therefore, thats why you have many of Repug run states introducing the suppression laws.

There are polls showing that Heil Walker may overcome the recall. I do believe that Heil Walker is in a extremely tight race with Barrett and that Barrett may winn this one. I sense Heil Walker is panicing.

He does not have a chance of winning.

His disapproval rating is higher than his approval rating.

Hence, there is no way in hell that he can win!

in desperation before losing. Having the Corporate Raider not only lose the election but his fortune as well would be a two-fer.
