The bias has been more subtle than the spoof cover above, of course; but you'll notice it especially in their articles about foreign lands and cities.

It started in earnest with the "behind the iron curtain" stories that year, which really played up the Eastern-Europe-is-a-hellhole stereotype. When a magazine shows you nothing but pollution and poverty in an article about any given country or region - while making articles about other (equally poor and polluted, but "market-friendly&quot countries look like tourist brochures - that's propaganda.

Sadly, the propaganda machine marches ever forward in it's crusade to fool the public while it hides the crimes against humanity and all life on the planet.

I stopped subscribing myself in 2012.

I don't think it's any coincidence that a lot of the people on the Nat Geo board, are also TPP advocates.

I s'pose the Girls of Fracking feature will entertain the MRA's who will rush to rationalize its relevance to science as was done in its relevance to sports...

Possibly, National Geographic has allowed itself an almost brand-new demographic of sub-literate half-wits.

Howdy all - just wanted to let you know that this was my handy work (I'm a magazine designer). Happy to see it pop up here on this fine site. Carry on.
