I cut the (cable) cord a while back..

When I had cable, I was an MSNBC junkie (minus Morning Joe ).

With changes in my home situation, it was fairly simple to just not subscribe to cable/satellite with my new apartment, in a new state.
The only problem was withdrawals from my news fix.
I put together a low rent HTPC system and hooked that up to my TV. *37" LCD monitor FTW!*

To make a long story short, I found a pretty good newsfeed for those of you in a similar situation:

Along with the feed is a chat room for those of you who like those sorts of things.
It's just nice to be able to have it on in the background.

The feed can be a bit strange at times, but for the most part is it straight MSNBC 24hrs a day.

3. MSNBC seems really good at

getting the day's content online. Today's morning show's are up already:

4. They're pretty good at it. Usually the show is posted within an hour or 2 of air.

I visit them often, but live news is... Well, Live.
