Jessica Biel ‘is refusing to vaccinate’ her 7-month-old son Silas

http://www.celebitchy.com/456782/in_touch_jessica_biel_is_refusing_to_vaccinate_her_7-month-old_son_silas/
"Are Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel making the controversial decision to not vaccinate their 7-month-old son, Silas? A friend of the couple claims so, telling In Touch magazine that “Jessica is refusing to vaccinate him. She feels that vaccination could cause complications.”

While In Touch reached out to Justin and Jessica’s reps for comment a combined total of nine times over several weeks, the reps received the messages but did not respond.

Not vaccinating a child is a practice that does have some celeb proponents, including Jenny McCarthy, Alicia Silverstone and Kristin Cavallari. But it is a controversial choice, and it’s rooted in studies that have been thoroughly discredited by the mainstream medical community.

The friend who alleges that Jessica and Justin aren’t vaccinating their son adds: “I’m sure Jessica believes that she’s making the right decision, but hopefully she and Justin will do some more research on this and change their minds.”

vaccinations are the best thing medical science has done. Does this mean they won't take the kid to a doctor when he is sick?? Or give him antibiotics?

I grew up military and I was vaccinated against stuff the civilians weren't. And things they don't vaccinate against any more. Small pox, polio, etc. Whooping cough can kill a kid and last a long time so those DPT shots are lifesaving.

Certain groups decided that vaccinating against smallpox was the devils work and were sure people would become part cow (they used a form of the cowpox to vaccinate against small pox).

People are strange and science scares many people because they don't understand it. What we need is more science classes.

In grade school the school nurse vaccinated us, gave us all the shots. But in class we learned about Jonas Salk, polio, teatnus, rabies etc. This was 4th grade. Public school has really gone down the tubes.

herd immunity protects those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons and those who are either too young to be vaccinated. Vaccinating is a societal issue.

Then it's not your business...as long as they can pass it on to kids too young to be vaccinated, then it is your business.

unless these children are isolated from society, it is society's business if they are vaccinated or not.
