FACT CHECK: Obama's spending is small. (America's is not)

The Obama administration has added very little discretionary spending. The federal payroll is down. Budgets at a lot of agencies are down.

But total spending is indeed up because the economy fell apart.

Medicare spending and Unemployment insurance spending are WAY up. Food stamps too.

Anything that automatically goes up when the economy collapses is up. Duh! No surprise there.

But there are no expensive new programs... no surge of new beaureaucrats. No new wars or bases on the moon. Obama has been quite thrifty.

And Obamacare reduces the deficit... assuming it remains in place long enough to do so.


Also... isn't all spending since 2010 Republican spending? Just saying. All spending must originate in the House of Representatives.
