Trump, asked if he'd back warantless searches of Muslims, says we may need to try the "unthinkable":

In a development that will surprise no one who has been paying even scant attention to what is actually driving Donald Trump’s appeal, the polls are not showing that the Paris attacks have diminished his strength by inducing GOP voters to look towards the more “experienced” and more “serious” candidates. As the Hill reports this morning, the polling on Trump is once again “confounding Beltway wisdom.”

And here’s something else that will further test the true nature of Trump’s support. In an interview with Yahoo News, Trump once again upped the ante when it comes to how the U.S. should respond to the attacks, when it comes to the treatment of Muslims in particular:

Yahoo News asked Trump whether his push for increased surveillance of American Muslims could include warrantless searches. He suggested he would consider a series of drastic measures.

I am merely saying if the president declares martial law the Bill of Rights would be effectively nullified...

I think we are in accord that Trump is a despicable and dangerous demagogue.

I heard on the radio that Trump was giving a speech in the East and there were protesters. Luckily, Trump continued to keep it classy and when Trump mentioned a protester, he said the fat guy got excited when Trump mentioned cutting food stamps.
I'm sure Trump knows all about poverty having grown up in it and had to worry about the next meal.

shit because he is preying upon the fears of the average American. It seems to be working for him now, but I don't think it's going to work for him in the general election.

The 4th amendment went out the window with the drug war, and we already know that the NSA feeds surveillance data to the DEA so they can track and arrest people for smoking pot.

Seriously, what good were all the Snowden/NSA is good/evil arguments that we had here? We are all being searched at the NSA's pleasure, so big f'en deal if he is going to do it to Muslims....if anything he should be criticized for extending Obama's policies.
