REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
"I know you have dementia" - Completely over the top and wrong to bring up the OPs health condition in this thread!! Please hide this callous post!
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Nov 19, 2015, 02:08 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The alerter is the one not being sensitive. OS is not ashamed of his medical problem and has discussed how it has clouded his judgement. The post isn't callous.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Steve has made his condition known to many, even while apologizing for his actions. I see no reason for this post to be hidden or for Steve to delete his thread. There are many here whom have been friends for a long time but now find themselves in disagreement. This will pass in time just like any other family argument. -Quackers
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: OS knows he has dementia. Unless he is the one who alerted, there is nothing out of bounds in this post.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(43,049 posts)I was definitely "alert stalked" at least once. OK, it's not like there's a creepy little group out there alerting on my every post, but in one group I was alerted on in a thread and suddenly a whole pile of posters rarely seen came out of the woodwork to attack me in the thread. It all happened within an hour or so and had to be coordinated in a backchannel. Fortunately, juries are chosen randomly and if you're going to take constant shots at someone hoping to rack up the hidden posts it will eventually show up in the owners' stats..
It pretty much depends on how you define "stalking".
