Donald Trump mocks reporter's disability....trump: lower than dog shit

[IMG][/IMG]

The New York Times is angry that Donald Trump mocked one of its reporters who has a physical disability.

Trump waved his arms in an awkward manner to lampoon Serge Kovaleski at a rally in South Carolina Tuesday night. Kovaleski has a chronic condition called arthrogryposis, which limits the movement of his arms.

The New York Times was offended. "We find it's outrageous that he would ridicule the appearance of one of our reporters," a spokesperson told CNNMoney.

Trump's performance was prompted by a story Kovaleski had written in 2001 that refuted claims that thousands of Muslims in Jersey City cheered the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

Trump is insisting that he saw "thousands" of Muslims celebrating in Jersey City, N.J., as the twin towers burned fell on the other side of the Hudson River.

I keep waiting for Trump to yell "April Fools" or something.
He just keeps on pushing the envelope.
My theory is that he started out just doing all of this for sport.
I think he's stunned his poll numbers have remained this high.
No way he really WANTS to be President.
Way too much work and stress for him. And, he knows he's not qualified.

He will drop out, I think, just prior to or after Iowa caucuses.
Will use excuse that the party brass lied to him and didn't treat fairly.
Will say he's considering third party run but can't get on enuf ballots to do so.

Trump's ego knows no bounds. I think he really believes he'll be a great president, and the base is feeding his ego. I predict he wins Iowa, and keeps on going with his filth. When someone like Trump is encouraged by crowds and polls, it "affirms" what he already thinks of himself.

I too thought at first that Trump was just playing a joke on the American people, but Trump doesn't have a sense of humor.

Thu Nov 26, 2015, 12:33 PM
Nov 2015

He appeals to more than 30% of his base. Mathematically that means as long as 2 or 3 still remain in the race. That works out that Trump will always have a plurality and if that stays that way the only way to get rid of him is to play funny with the nominating convention. If the party does something like that it's almost a sure thing that Trump will run as an independent. Only time will tell, but he is a despicable moron, or in other words a world class Republican. Good luck, America.

Modern television journalists enjoy the electromagnetic fortress in specialized expertise always begging the question yet knowing the answers they want. Of course most enjoy incredible pay or Christmas bonus, or any bonus for special political gaming.

The New York Times is angry that Donald Trump mocked one of its reporters who has a physical disability. Then put that anger where it counts, in the court of punitive damages. Or will the New York Times wimp out. We shall see, however, it would turn into a spectacle likely Trump would lose.

As the first comment said, “time to hand off to Jeb, this makes him look good”. Way too early, however, the Paris terror action is troubling during this political campaign, it fits perfectly into the Bush Crime Inc. war profiteering modus operandi.

Consider Trump stepping out of the shower–forced to confront all that sun-lamped, over-fed, over-cologned flesh, and those hate-lines around his pout-shaped mouth, and, of course, that wildly asymmetric mass of orange-Kool-Aid-colored hair, still wet from the shower–on one side of his head, it hangs down past his shoulder in a huge ragged curtain; on the other side of his head, there is nothing but bald scalp and sadness. He begins every day by engineering that combover, the equivalent of The Great Wall of China. Then he Spanxes up, re-colognes himself, puts on a red Trump necktie, and goes out into the world to proclaim his own greatness.

You don’t have to be a psychotherapist to see that Donald Trump’s loathing for others is just an offshoot of his loathing for himself. Do you know any confident people in their 60s who need to compulsively remind you that they attended a good college–and got As? Do you know any truly-loved people who keep insisting, twenty times a day, that everyone loves them? Trump’s dirty secret is that he’s just smart enough to know that he’s a fraud, and not smart enough to forget it. He knows in his bones that if he wasn’t rich, not only would Hillary Clinton skip his wedding, but there would be no wedding to skip–at least not to another attractive young blonde. And this awareness is what fueled the single most important moment in the history of televised political debates.

As CounterPunch’s Mike Whitney wisely pointed out, Trump did America an enormous favor in that ten-second stretch of epic truth-telling at the Fox debate–when he breezily admitted that Hillary Clinton “had” to attend his wedding, not because she cares about him, but because he buys, sells, and trades the Hillary Clintons of the world like a twelve-year-old playing Fantasy Football. In a sane America, Trump’s forbidden truth would have upended the whole political dialogue–but CNN and MSNBC studiously ignored it and spent five whole days chasing updates on the Megan Kelly “bleeding” remark instead.

If Trump had real guts and vision–and if he was serious about winning–he would make that Forbidden Truth the core of his campaign, and keep expanding it: “Everyone’s angry that America is run by the 1%–well, I’m not just the 1%, I’m the 1% of the 1%, and I’m the only one who not only knows the tricks of the trade, but who’ll let you in on all our dirty little secrets, and change all the rules…The Tea Party and the leftists are both right: the whole game is rigged, and we’re going to blow it up and start fresh.”

But he blew the moment, because he didn’t realize what a profound insight he’d given the American people. Instead, in one hilarious tweet that went beyond speaking-of-one’s-self-in-the-third-person, he said that “Roger Ailes promises that ‘Trump’ will be treated fairly.” I mean–putting your own name in quotation marks? As the young people say–what’s that about?

The republican base and his supporters love him for this very reason. He says everything that they believe and feel and they love him for it. With a candidate like Trump they don't have pretend to be decent people.

I'm hoping he can continue to be the frontrunner for the republicans and do even more damage to their "brand".

You need to start worrying.

Narcissists are completely self centered. A lot of them are pretty smart but eventually people began to see through them. And they can be very mean and manipulative and not care at all who they hurt.

Our body politic is diseased because so many of the people are diseased. They have been fed a steady diet of fear, hate, and misinformation and they are now prepared to embrace Trump, Carson, Cruz, etc. Thanks to "democracy," their problem is now our problem.

In 2006, Bush mocked a reporter with Stargardt's disease:

So it was during a Rose Garden press briefing Wednesday when Mr. Bush called upon a reporter for The Los Angeles Times, Peter Wallsten, and promptly commented on his inquisitor's sunglasses: "Are you going to ask that question with shades on?"

Afterward, staff members told Mr. Bush that Mr. Wallsten was not wearing the sunglasses to look hip, but for health reasons. Mr. Wallsten has Stargardt's disease, a degenerative condition that causes blindness and can be painfully exacerbated by sunlight.

At least Bush had enough graciousness to apologize:

"He said, 'I needle you guys out of affection,' and I said, 'Now that you know about this, don't treat me any different than you would ordinarily,' " Mr. Wallsten said. "He said, 'I won't.' "

Mr. Wallsten said he invited the president to "needle away," to which Mr. Bush replied, "I will, but next time I'll just use a different needle."

What is also pathetic is the lack of denunciation from the other candidates, I guess they don't want to hurt the feelings of their base.

His campaign is making it impossible for Republican voters to hide their homophobia, xenophobia, sexism, racism and general bigotry, hatred and fear of anyone different than them behind bullshit like "fiscal conservatism" or "limited government". Now anyone who stands up to be counted among GOP voters will have to own all of this, in a way they could avoid with Romney or McCain. We won't have to look at our friends and acquaintances any more and wonder which of them are secretly bigoted, hateful assholes. If they say they support Trump, we'll know.

100. He reminds me of an episode of South Park where Mr. Garrison tries to get fired
Fri Nov 27, 2015, 03:27 PM
Nov 2015

In one episode, Mr. Garrison learns that a teacher who was gay won a million dollar lawsuit against the school district for being fired.

He decides that is what he is going to do - by doing the most extreme behavior. This includes bringing in Mr. Slave and the unfortunate Lemmiwinks for some kinky sexual acts.

Instead of getting fired, the kids have to go to a tolerance camp for complaining about the "really gay" acts of Mr. Garrison. He keeps upping the ante, and then gets an award for being so brave. He again brings out extreme sexual behavior to accept the award, and the audience - instead of being stunned - just keeping clapping for him.

This is how I see Trump. He expected to get "fired" a long time ago - and every day he wakes up and tries to outdo the day before in order to get shit-canned. Instead, he just gains more frickin support.

I try to relate most things to some South Park episode - it's a blessing and a curse

Can't stop crying about this story.

I didn't make my weekly outing with my kids a land hubby this weekend. Idk why but this story really sticks with me. Is this how people think about me?

Can't imagine the pain that reporter feels. You know it really really hurts. Life is hard enuf and when you, as a disabled person, tackle it head on... The last thing you expect is ridicule from a privileged loud obnoxious billionaire who wants to be the prez... A role model for the country. Where does this leave us?

What if he targets our kids, and mocks who they are. I may live for my kids sake, but what would children do if they are targeted objects of ridicule?

trymp scares me more than anyone in the gop.
