Alice's Restaurant on PBS

Arlo in concert singing the full version of Alice's Restaurant. Today is the 50th anniversary of the massacree. Anybody else watching?

not all PBS stations show the same things. We have 2 one has Arlo the other no.

doing his Alice's Restaurant 50th Anniversary Tour. His daughter Sara Lee opened for him. They were wonderful. Arlo is a great entertainer.

If you can laugh cry and think every day you will have a full life.
Arlo manages to bring that out and everyone leaves with a smile.
Listening to that song when I returned from Vietnam made me feel like someone else gets it. It's an anthem of the Sixties.

Protest at the Marina Green in San Francisco on March 15, 1969.

I just looked up the date on the internet.

March 15

San Francisco - "Presidio 27" demonstration, sponsored by the GI Association. Speakers included Susan Schnall, Terence Hallinan, Arlo Guthrie and the San Francisco Mime Troupe.

I was at a boarding school near San Francisco and my room mate Eric's mother took us.

Eric's Mom was Maya Miller who was prominent in Nevada Democratic Party politics.
