Cops enter house without search-warrant, dog flees, they kill him anyway

http://www.alternet.org/civil-liberties/graphic-video-shows-cowardly-cops-break-mans-home-and-kill-his-dog-after-it-ran-away

In a series of posts to his Facebook page, Mark Reedy described how Delaware police entered his home twice – the first time without a warrant. According to Reedy, the first search occurred 11/19/15 when he was not at home. Delaware State Police called Reedy to schedule an interview, and shortly after ending the call with police, Reedy received a notification from his home security company that an un-authorized person had entered his house.

...

As the video begins, we can see the dog run up to the door barking and wagging his tail.

“State police, search warrant!” yell the cops behind their body-length military shield.

As the dog sees the shield and the gun he becomes startled and runs away. When the dog runs out of frame, it is clear that he posed no threat to the ten men in full body armor.

...

However, at least one cowardly officer couldn’t wait to pull the trigger with real bullets, and a few seconds later a gunshot rings out and the dog is dead.

Reedy was not home at the time of the raid and when he returned, he found a horrific scene. Police had taken the body of his dog, left the blood puddle, and cut holes in the walls in a likely attempt to recover the bullet fragments that could be used against them in criminal proceedings.

Reedy then discovered that officers tried to break into his gun safe using his screwdrivers.

-----------------

Let's sum this up in the most likely sequence of events:
- Delaware State Police schedules an interview with Mark Reedy.
- Within minutes of the phone-call, the cops show up at his house.
- The cops DON'T have a search-warrant and yell that they HAVE a search-warrant.
- The dog runs away in fear and they kill it anyways.
- Then they try to break into his gun-safe.
- Then they cover up the shooting by digging the bullet-fragments out of the wall.

Who protects the perps? Bad prosecutors, other bad cops who know better but turn a blind eye or worse help to tamper with evidence and let's not forget bad upstanding citizens serving on grand juries.

Did I cover everything?

Hands Up? Retreating? According to our brave president bush, kill 'em all.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highway_of_Death

...
During the United Nations coalition offensive in the Persian Gulf War, American and Canadian aircraft and ground forces attacked retreating Iraqi military personnel and others attempting to leave Kuwait on the night of February 26–27, 1991, resulting in the destruction of hundreds of vehicles and the deaths of many of their occupants. U.S. attacks against the Iraqi columns were actually conducted on two different roads. Between 1,400 and 2,000 vehicles were hit or abandoned on the main Highway 80 north of Al Jahra (the "actual" Highway of Death). Several hundred more littered the lesser known Highway 8 to the major southern Iraq military stronghold of Basra.
...

We don't do that now. We send drones wherein the majority of the people killed may not have been the target, or were erroneously identified by our spotters as hostile. As in hostile 2 year old kids digging in the mud.

And the police are largely made up of this same ex-military.

We now have a whole country that's pretty well used to the idea of hurting the defenseless. Especially if there is a profit, or a stroke for the ego.

The only reason the attack was stopped was because the Bush thought it looked bad.
And none of that has ANYTHING to do with THIS case.
These cops are gonna be in big trouble by the time this is all over with and for good reason. Nail 'em.

A classic example was failing to stop Lee from crossing the Potomac after Gettysburg. Obviously another example is Dunkirk.

Cowardly pigs, all dressed out and armed to the hilt, and they shoot a poor dog running away from them. Cowards. And liars for stealing the evidence.

On the flip side some argue that the owner, who is less than a peach, set his dog up. Doesn't excuse the behavior of the cops though.

Assholes have always been assholes, and some of those assholes- the most abusive and authoritarian - have always been drawn to careers in law enforcement. 9/11 made us fearful as a society, and we started militarizing our cops - which means we started militarizing some of our most abusive assholes.

Thus, the assholery spreads, and becomes more dangerous.

At the same time, the rise of the Smartphone allowed us to catch them in the act and share it on social media.

So yeah, a little of both.

is a big reach to try to diffuse public sentiment about the dog getting shot. He has not been charged for the homicide.

Still $3K for a forceful battery on someone is ridiculous.

has developed a paramilitary culture in which acts of lethal violence are admired and in which the lives of the members are considered more valuable than those of the enemy (the public or their pets) .

Then there is the matter of veterans being encouraged to transition from the military into this culture.

Yet somehow cops are still above the law in many states and it seems they want to kill anything when the situation calls for the possiblilty. Makes you wonder over the decades how many innocent people have died at the hands of thugs like the ones in the article.

Only the worlds largest COWARD shoots a fleeing dog. I am beginning to think the word THUG is too good for some of these murderous cops and their bloodlust.
