Confederate battle flag controversy migrates to Many LA

... During the Natchitoches Christmas parade last weekend, members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans were relegated to being parade watchers after that city's mayor banned them from flying the Confederate battle flag in the procession.
One week later and 28 miles to the southwest, the mayor of Many says the Confederate group will march with its flag in his town's Christmas parade on Saturday.
Sabine Police Juror William Ruffin is unhappy about that decision. "I don't think he took the constituents into consideration when he made (a) decision like this."
Ruffin says he called Mayor Ken Freeman to ask why he's allowing the flag to fly in their parade. Ruffin recalled, "He told me he didn't think it was a racial thing. I said, 'Well, you must have your head in the sand because the rebel flag and all that is very sensitive to blacks'" ...
