The Mitt "Amercia" App...here's a good question:

I checked out the page in the App Store, and this was one of the most recent responses. I'd kind of like to know the same answer...

Amercia?
by Christopher Gadda

I was too late to get the version with "A better Amercia" in it. I'm so disappointed. Say... How does Mitt Romney get an app update reviewed in less than 24 hours when the rest of us developers have to wait like 3 weeks?

==============

Personally, my guess is most developers don't have $230,000,000 to throw around.

2. Wrong. The app store has to approve all fixes and that takes WEEKS for most apps.

There are no hotfixes that make it in under a day, not for normal apps.

The language learning company I was with had to get fixes approved on a three week period. There was no one day turn around.

5. Like I said, if you have $230,000,000...

...there is obviously a way around the 3-week rule!

And seriously, it makes sense. #1, I would think developers would really want to make sure their apps are buttoned down before submitting them to Apple, and discourage rushed uploads with the assumption that you could just re-submitted every day if you make a boo boo. #2, leaving the app up for a bit would allow time for other feedback and user experience, so developers could fix other problems which may arise.

I dunno, though, I'm not a developer and I've never submitted an app.

Oh, and whatever happened to that app from 2010 which featured bios and caricatures of all the current candidates and challengers? Apple refused to allow it to be posted because it was "political." WTF is this Rmoney app if not political?
