Cindy Sheehan was at Vets for Peace National Convention and decided she was going to Crawford. She tore apart the convention, some Vets went with her to Crawford on Sat morning. She stayed on the side of the road and it grew into a month long protest while Bush vacationed at his "ranch"/stage set. He left at same time Katrina hit New Orleans.
What I am struck by is how little preparation any of us had to sustain a month long protest and the out pouring of support we had.
These yahoos don't even know what they want and have no clear message and yet they are getting serious air time and allowed to continue. Personally, I find it outrageously offensive.

Maybe it is how we all were portrayed in the media, maybe it is how the post office in Crawford sent all mail back to distribution center in Dallas. I just know that these persons in Oregon are being coddled as what happened with the Bundy stand off.
All of us in Crawford were never treated with this much respect. Kinda maddening.

The example you provide, with Cindy, shows that when you do the right thing, details work out. It's like Smokin' Joe Frazier used to say: "There's no right way to do wrong, and no wrong way to do right."
(I admit that I may not be 100% objective when it comes to Cindy, because I hold her with such high regard. She is a wonderful, powerful lady.)

What about Occupy that occupied parks and public spaces across this nation? What happened to them?
Gas and rubber bullets/non-lethal weapons.
It just makes us want to say, what the hell!?
