Wife crashes her own funeral, horrifying her husband, who had paid to have her killed

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/02/05/wife-crashes-her-own-funeral-horrifying-her-husband-who-had-paid-have-her-killed/

Noela Rukundo sat in a car outside her home in Melbourne, Australia, watching as the last few mourners filed out. They were leaving a funeral — her funeral.

Finally, she spotted the man she’d been waiting for. She stepped out of her car, and her husband put his hands on his head in horror.

“Is it my eyes?” she recalled him saying. “Is it a ghost?”

“Surprise! I’m still alive!” she replied.

Here is a juicy story that could be turned to comedy or drama or something in between, featuring black actors. Somebody needs to snap this up.

Ideally, black actors and actresses would receive equal consideration for roles that don't demand a specific race. In practice, however, Hollywood's casting decisions are not race-neutral. That means that blacks are more often considered when the character must be black.

For example, in the criticism of the all-white Academy Awards, one overlooked film that's been mentioned is Straight Outta Compton (nominated for Best Original Screenplay but nothing else). Blacks had good roles because the film was based on a true story in which the participants were black. The same is true of the failed murder plot recounted in the OP, and the story is compelling enough that it might make a successful movie. It could therefore be a vehicle for making the Academy Awards more inclusive.

That's all I understood NV Whino to be saying, and I don't see anything racist or even Discussionist-y about it. Am I missing something?
