I am disabled and on a super-limited income. I watch the hearts with great interest. It breaks my own heart to not be able to afford to pass out a few myself. I did manage to pull a few dollars together this week, but I spent them on candidates- there to be exact! I hope you all understand this was more important to me. Thanks again, and have fun, everyone! (PS: I have been here at DU since day one. I just don't post as much as some others).

it is hard to be noticed and remembered if you do not post much. Then again, in my case, I probably would be more popular if I posted less.
I appreciate my hearts as well, and still have 8 to give away.

(3,447 posts)Even have a (tiny, worthless) post in the archived Library of Congress thread we had back in the '04 election. But alas, nearly dying and a few years of 100% poverty (read: no internet!) does hell on a person's ability to remember a password LOL.
And I'm going to use this thead to say thank you to the two posters who sent me one. I was truly surprised and it did warm my heart. Thank you all very much.

(6,496 posts)When I joined this site my oldest son was just a baby (he is 13 years old now). Zing Zing Zingbah was the name of one of the Boohbahs. It was another show for babies back then like Teletubbies. My son used to think the show was funny back then and I liked the sound of the name so I used it as a username.

(8,646 posts)I came home to 2 hearts yesterday. It absolutely made my day (which, up until that point had been rather crappy). It meant a lot. I wish I had some to give...I renewed just a few days before the hearts started and, well, considering the state of my finances currently, I won't be able to give again to give out hearts. But I'd like everyone to know I appreciate the hearts.
