South Carolina - Bush - single digits - tied for last

Political Wire:

A new Public Policy Polling survey in South Carolina — conducted after last weekend’s GOP debate — finds Donald Trump leading the pack with 35%, followed by Ted Cruz at 18%, Marco Rubio at 18%, John Kasich at 10%, Ben Carson at 7% and Jeb Bush at 7%.

Key takeaway: “The GOP poll suggests Trump’s debate performance – in which he criticized former President George W. Bush for the 9/11 attacks – may not be hurting the frontrunner in a state that has deep ties to the Bush family.”

After savaging the Bush II administration, Trump is still at around 35% in South Carolina. This tells me that it will either be Trump or a brokered convention. I very well could see Trump arriving at the convention with 40% delegates, Cruz 30%, and the remaining 30% split between Rubio, Kasich, and Bush.

South Carolina still has to be one of George Bush's still most popular states.

he won't have a brother in a swing state and a SCOTUS to steal the election for him.
