I hate punishing business because of stupid legislators, but big businesses have the voice.

We just need to vote out the stupid Republicans.

and have no derogatory statements about the bank. Whenever I have had a problem, they have helped me resolve it.

More precisely, something called Nationsbank based in Charlotte bought out B of A and gave the combined bank the B of A name. This all came about because several Southern states, including NC, were among the first to allow interstate baking, so Southern banks like Nationsbank grew big enough to swallow up titans like B of A, which was limited to California. This goes a long way toward explaining how 36 major banks have dwindled to four in the past few decades.

I still wonder how someone tried to explain to B of A execs, who had homes on the wealthy Peninsula south of SF, kids in private school, and maybe a vacation home up in wine country, that they would have to move to what at the time was a collection of truck stops and Waffle Houses.
