Also used to like TYT when they were more fact based.
So I just bounce around between the Hillary groups, a couple of FB groups, and taking some mainstream media with a grain of salt.

(3,811 posts)can be generally relied on to get the facts right most of the time - the who, what, where. But when reporting slides into opining about expectations or proposing causal relationships that might or might not be valid, I keep a skeptical attitude.
I rank the BBC pretty high for credibility. Christian Science Monitor is a good source. I read many of the left-wing sources like Common Dreams and Salon, but I approach them with the same extra-critical eye I would use when reading any highly one-sided source, whether it's Russian controlled media or the Heartland Institute.
Media Matters is useful to get up to speed quickly on popular political issues.
If something interests me I'll read multiple perspectives and try to find original sources.

Much like here. lol

(20,176 posts)He's my gardener. Really cool dude. Jesus Hernandez.
He gets up at like 4am so he reads the newspaper and watches the TV news while I'm still cuddled into bed. He also has a great skill in discerning bullshit. So every morning, I get up and I say "¿que pasa, Jesus?" and he tells me what's up.

(5,790 posts)They have an excellent standard of journalism and some fine writers.
Serious answer: At this point, ABC and CBS in terms of the MSM. If it's an issue of major importance, I'll probably look at the BBC. Local TV stations and the local paper for local stuff.
WaPo still has good writers, but has gone downhill since Bezos bought it; I've never been wild about the NYT.

And none of those sources include FOX. and I rarely watch talking heads on the stupid tube.
