Ted Cruz is on the Jimmy Kimmel show and he just brought up the idea of no-go zones in Europe. Cruz claimed these were Muslim areas in countries into which even police do not enter. Cruz went on to claim that Moleenbeek, in Brussels, Belgium is one of those areas.
I thought the idea of no-go zones had already been debunked. I think these supposed no-go zones had been brought up on FOX News after the Paris attacks, or the Charlie Hebdo attacks. However, it seems that many in Europe rejected the idea that there were these so called no-go zones in Europe.

(9,350 posts)I think Jimmy Kimmel did a good job with the interview. At first he called Cruz out on a few things and questioned his facts. However, I think, at one point Kimmel realized Cruz's mind could not be changed and just decided to leave him alone. Maybe Kimmel was not aware that the no-go zone idea had been debunked. Maybe he realized facts did not matter to Cruz so there was no point in telling him he was wrong and Cruz's supporters would believe Cruz regardless of what Kimmel or anyone else said.
At one point when Cruz and Kimmel were discussing Cruz's policies regarding Muslims Kimmel started responding "I will just agree to disagree with you". Cruz was not giving up his talking points.
