This won't change minds that ignore facts, but here are the facts, anyway.

As for me, I'll be putting some Jiffy-Pop by those flames and sharing the popcorn with all the many circumcised men in my extended family.

I'm no scientist, but sensory organs removed at birth would seem to inhibit net sensory ability later, but like the one-eared teen, might not know what he's missing.

(961 posts)I know what the fuck circumcision means. You don't cut parts off of babies! PERIOD END OF STORY NO CONVERSATION
Chop all the flesh you want of our body. Leave everyone else alone.
It sure the fuck destroys sensitivity!
Are you really that obtuse?

(23,272 posts)It would entail a lot of touching, stroking, pricking. ..what?
All or any of the above seems incredibly inappropriate.
Also since babies can't really articulate feedback, how could they measure a pain or pleasure response?
"Please rate this on a scale of 1 - 10..."?

(10,201 posts)If you want a circumcision, then go get one. If you don't want one, then don't get one.
This sensitivity thing is a moot point. The point is, you don't go around cutting off pieces of someone's dick without their permission. A newborn is not capable of making that decision or giving permission. If the dude eventually wants it done, then fine, when he is at an age to make the decision to cut off a piece of his dick, then he can go sign up for one.
