GOPer: Clinton Will 'Go Down Like Monica Lewinsky' Debating Trump

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/florida-republican-clinton-down-like-lewinsky

A Florida GOP official said that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton would "go down like Monica Lewinsky" if she debated Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Bob Sutton, chairman of the Broward County GOP Executive Committee, suggested Clinton would be easy to debate in the general election.

“I think when Donald Trump debates Hillary Clinton she’s going to go down like Monica Lewinsky,” Sutton told the Post.

Kristin Matheny, secretary of the Broward County Republican Party in Sutton's county, told the Sun Sentinel newspaper that Sutton should apologize.

If it ever happens, Hillary will take Trump to the cleaners. This person apparently never saw her handle the inane Benghazi witch hunters either. Love her or hate her, the woman maintains her cool under pressure. This reminds me of the amazement shown by the media PTB when Joe Biden handed Paul Ryan his head in the last V.P. debate (after having previously being far too much the gentleman with Sarah Palin). The Republicans chose, for inexplicable reasons, to portray this experienced and successful former senator as a clutzy clown, and the press jumped gleefully on the bandwagon.

I could imagine Trump getting her goat

HRC becomes slightly strident when miffed

Trump brushes off anything he disagrees with, he rules more than debates

and the media elites allow him free reign

Facts don't matter to Trump, he just reassures and invents what he needs

This is a very worrisome pairing in my view

But she'll have handlers, and coaches, and prep, and the very best the world
has to give her

She is one battle-tested lady

She's going to have to channel Margaret Thatcher, FDR, Lloyd Bentsen, Ann Richards

We could finally reverse that moment that began it all: "Are you better off than
you were four years ago?"

"Do you want our nation led by someone who can't keep his facts straight and changes
direction five times a day?"

and the character of his wife too. For being privileged elitists, for being corporate stooges and sellouts, for being socialists, all sorts of things. Having read books about FDR's presidency, I believe the criticisms of him coming from the self-described left and self-described right (loads of conspiracy theories on both sides) were similar to those of Hillary Clinton today. I love reading history books because they clue us in to what's happening today - nothing much is new under the sun. Hillary is calling for a new New Deal. I think both Hillary and FDR share the ability to kick right wing asses and get things done that are good for average people. And I think you're either trolling or (perhaps even more embarrassing) unaware of the opposition to FDR's policies at the time they were being implemented. Hint: nearly every one of his policies was challenged in court.

The very first thing you should be aware of is 'noblesse oblige', Hillary doesn't have an ounce of it in her body, all you have to do is look at her history to see it. Defending child rapist by accusing the child of solicitation , built luxury hotel in Haiti instead of destroyed homes, H1B visas and wanting more of them, defending wall street, just to name a few, FDR and Eleanor are rolling over in their graves at the thought of these actions being associated with their names.

And, what criticisms from the left the Roosevelts got was because the left were communists back then. The people loved them and voted for them 3 times. Bernie is much more like Roosevelt than Hillary could or would ever be. She never thinks of us lessers, unless she wants our vote, after that we are ignored. It has always been that way, and always will. She learned her lesson in Iraq, so she would never do the same thing in Libya, right?

As we've seen Donald Trump doesn't mind making himself look bad as long as he takes down his opponent. And while she'll probably win it won't be without a cost. she'll enter the White House with high negatives , not a lot of capital and a Luke warm support from progressives.

Things will get much worse if she tries to flip on the TPP and can't get her college package through congress. Wouldn't surprie me if she's primaried from the left after her first term.

the remnants of the national-level Republican party will be kept quite busy trying to find their political footing after this election, and they won't see a lot of benefit in trying shit like email server impeachments.

Hillary's negatives are a serious thing and if she openly embraces the economic policies of the bandwagon plutocrats who jump ship from the dying Republican party, she will indeed be vulnerable to a primary challenge in 4 years.

what works in our favor is that the Clintons really like to triangulate, compromising their way to what they perceive as positions of political strength. those positions of political strength are about to shift. she'll be triangulating toward the left instead of away from it.

I do not remember Donald Trump ever debating Monica Lewinsky, and even if he did, I am not at all confident that he prevailed.

Were they making a funny over Lewinsky's blow job of Trump? I would think he has bought enough of them to be able to judge Lewinsky's abilities in that act with a practiced eye.

Oh wait! They were comparing Hillary Clinton's putative BJ of Trump in their forthcoming debate to Lewinsky's performance in the Oval Office 20 years ago. I have not read the Starr report, so I am not certain that Lewinsky's skill as a blow jobber was actually ascertained. So it is a wild guess at best.

Any of the women on this thread ever BJ a man promptly after demolishing him into a quivering heap? No? I thought not. There is no way Hillary is going to offer the Donald any such comfort after she feasts on his smoldering remains.

Clinton will destroy Trump in the debates. Everyone but Trump will know it was a demolition, and his ignorance of that will be a leading reason why he is not fit for the presidency. She will wreck him, and he will think that she tried and failed to blow him. He will only get it right on November 9th.
