But I expect that our dear and wonderful Barack Obama will be making meaningful contributions and that we and our children and children's children will have him in our lives for many years to come. He's only 54, practically a kid.

Like you said, he's also cool and funny, not to mention intelligent, but not in that way that alienates anyone else not as bright as him. He's too personable to be that like that.

personally, and for all the shit he's had to endure, he's been a great example of what a President should be -- intelligent, confident, and assured. He's as close as any modern President has come to the JFK charm and charisma. Given what he's been up against, he's carried himself with dignity and grace -- never losing his cool. Every American should be grateful we had someone like him in the White House after the nightmare of the Bush years.

I don't think another like him will be seen in my lifetime. I just hope the gains he pushed so hard for behind the scenes & with his direct actions wil be upheld and expanded by the courts.

I just wish he would try to put an end to civilians being drone bombed and legalize Cannabis and demilitarize the police.

I'm going to REALLY miss the Obamas. It's been a pleasure having them as our First Family. It's been a real pleasure not having to be embarrassed by our President (like the 8-year-long red-faced embarrassment Bush II made us suffer -- not to mention the extreme damage he did).
