Larry Wilmore’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner Performance Went Too Far, He Should Be Fired

Disrespecting Don Lemon and Wolf Blitzer?!?!?!? At such a "Sacred Event"? Oh my stars & garters - what a brute.

Wilmore, host of the channel’s Nightly Show, directed his barbs towards respected cable news journalists, like CNN’s Don Lemon who has tirelessly worked to expose the destructive morals of the hip hop generation from his place behind the anchor desk. Wilmore, who – like so many of his fellow liberal comedians – is constantly pandering for the support of “cool” people, singled out Lemon simply because his brand of respectable journalism makes so many of the race pimps who profiteer off of black America uncomfortable.

Not satisfied with denigrating Lemon, Wilmore also attacked CNN’s ratings and its legendary anchor, Mr. Wolf Blitzer.

For shame, sir.

Wilmore also invoked the Black Lives Matter movement, giving that socialist uprising a seat of legitimacy at one of Washington’s most sacred events. A dinner for scholarships with the President on the dais is nowhere to bang a drum in a drum circle, Wilmore.

The comedian – not very funny to be honest, and the silence from the brave journalists in the audience spoke volumes – ended his cultural assault by referring the President as “my n****r,” again providing an opening for the hip-hop culture in its inexorable death march to supreme cultural superiority. It is evidence of the unfortunate side effects that have come to hurt our country after the election of President Obama.

Obama remained silent as Wilmore took America’s honor into a back alley and summarily executed it with his comedy guillotine.

The only remedy, and hopefully the executives at Comedy Central are paying attention, is to fire Wilmore immediately. There is no need to cancel his show, but he should be replaced as host with another comedian or satirist who understands that offending the mainstream media is off limits. He – or she – should realize that comedy is truly not about confronting the elite, but instead offering up safe, inoffensive observations that aren’t all about making people think or see things from a critical perspective.

We don’t want that. At all.

You are so off base…I LOVE Larry Wilmore. Wolf Blitzer is the one that should be fired. All he says is “aaahhh, aaahhh, thank you very much, aaahhh.” He DOES drone on and on.
CNN has seriously gone off the rails, it is intolerable to watch most of the time.
Larry is a truth teller, and that is hard to take. He keeps it 100%!!
And no, I am not black. I don’t think every one of his jokes are perfect, but I’m glad he is raising some of the issues about race in this country that everyone wants to avoid.

The MEDIA is a bunch of do nothings who put the likes of trump on 24/7 rotation and actually try to convince people he’s credible. These people should be fired off of cable news. Larry Wilmore shone a light on these cockroaches. He was hilarious, pointed and bang on.

Wilmore wasn't being funny he was merely stating sad facts about a great deal of the attendees to Geekstock.

Some of Larry's schtick made me uncomfortable. It was meant to. I like him a lot. Steven Colbert's stand up at the WHCD did the same.

of the fucking event. An event at which Presidents get to joke about droning their enemies is obviously an event at which comedy rules apply and not political rules.

I can't get over that line. Having lived in a shithole country that waves a flag around, and shouts about how fucking great it is, I can't get past that one hilariously tragic line.

at the bottom of his post. So "legendary anchor" is not meant seriously, it is satire.

the poor sensibilities of the "race pimps" and undercover racist disguised as jounalists got bruised. Fuck that shit. Every thing said was the truth and I know it so hurts the hypocrites in america. The only thing I took umbrage with was the "my nigga" thing. Black people, in my book, need to stop using that awful hateful word that I am sure all those with bruised egos in that audience and elsewhere use ALLTHETIME. Wilmore your cold shower on the ego fest that's the WHCD was amazing realty. Americans can't handle the truth. Brings up too much of the hypocrisy we/they practice every fucking day being disguised as 'news'. He should get a raise.

flavor in comedian, but are then offended by the flavor. They want to appear edgy and with it and are then appalled at what that means. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Maybe they need to limit their choice of comics to who's playing on Nick Jr.

That is what it has become and expected.

For me, at best, less than 50% of what Wilmore did was funny. But we each have our own taste.

I wasn't sure if the post was suppose to be satire or if the note was referring to something else.

Granted it was a little flat and uncomfortable, but it seems that the stewards of the 1% are touchier than hell at the moment.

That was more interesting. Maybe they are feeling that times are changing?
