(32,086 posts)When it turns out that some rethug actually leaked whatever it was that was allegedly "leaked", nobody will hear about that. All they'll remember is McShitstain out there whining about how the Obama administration did it. This has KKKarl Rove's filthy fingers all over it.

(108 posts)This is national security, and lives are on the line. Someone leaked this, and it's in the President's best interest to get to the bottom of it, and deal with whoever did it.

(31,706 posts)IRC weren't Democrats all up in arms back in '04 when the Abu Grahb pics were released and then again in '06 with the revelations of secret wiretapping...and yep, calling for a prosecutor. It's the province of the party out of power trying to score points on the party in power. This works especially well if you control one body of the legislative where you can spend endless hours in witchunts and trumped-up investigations. It generates lots of headlines and fires up the base...great for fundraising...especially for the Congresscritters on the committee who get their faces on the teevee. Look for a bunch of hearings in the weeks ahead where Obama administration officials will be subpoenaed to testify and made to look inept...again, good red meat for the cables. Ultimately these type of investigations hit the wall of "national security" and fade away.
