A Bummed Fox News Is Flipping Out As They Realize That Trump Is Blowing The Election
By Jason Easley on Sun, Jun 19th, 2016 at 1:24 pm
You can clearly see the depression taking over on Fox News as they realize that Donald Trump is blowing any chance of a Republican victory in 2016.

Transcript of the Fox and Friends panel discussion about Trumps campaign on Fox News Sunday:
WALLACE: Unto.
WALTER: Unto himself. Thank you. Unto himself. And theres no reinforcements that hes getting. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is making the case every day and her allies are making the case every day, both on television and in focused, direct messaging to to voters.
WALLACE: Brit, Id love to continue on this this same issue because, on the one hand, you know, as as Amy says, to the degree that that you have these terror attacks, that ISIS is still on the march, you can make the case against Obama and indirectly against Clinton as his as his secretary of state. On the other hand, as we went through with Senator Sessions, you know, here we have this terrible tragedy and Trump is talking about what else Barack Obama has in mind.
HUME: Exactly right. And its worth noting here, Chris, that in every campaign cycle, general election cycle, there are moments when the candidate gets a fresh look from the voters. And when you lock up the nominations is one such moment. These moments are few, and you cant afford to waste them. And there will be a few more, but Trump had one and he finished, you may recall, he wrapped it up before she had. So he had some open country there and an opportunity to, you know, get people to take a fresh look at him. A disciplined, active, well-planned campaign focusing on the issues that that could broaden his appeal would have helped him.
And as Amy just pointed out, he hasnt done any of that, really. I mean hes hes undisciplined. Hes all over the place. You know, he gets in this fight over the over the over the ethnic background of of a federal judge that has to do with a with a case involving Trump University. Totally unrelated to the campaign.
You know, he overstates the case against Obama by suggesting the president may be is somehow sympathetic possibly to the bad guys and all the rest of it. And its and it all adds up to a wasted opportunity and an opening for Hillary Clinton, who has moved aggressively. Her camp its very hard to think about what her campaign is really about. Right now its about, Im not Trump and you dont want him and it may and it looks as if its working.
You can see the fear on the right that Trump has already blown this election. The points that the Fox News Sunday panel made about Trumps campaign were correct. He has no surrogates, no organization, no coherent message. Trumps campaign gets constantly hijacked by his own personal scandals.
Trump has no discipline, no message, and no direction.

(19,240 posts)demographic that might have helped him edge close enough to the Democratic nominee in order to steal the election. There is a sizable group of Latinos who speak English as their first language who have "conservative Christian" values who do not like recent immigrants any more than Trumps bubba base does. However, when Trump attacked a born in the USA English speaking judge for being "Mexican" he completely eliminated the possibility that the GOP would make any in roads with Latinos this fall. On the contrary, Latinos are now being mobilized to register to vote Democratic solely because they hate Trump so very, very much.
Still think Julian Castro is the best possible VP pick. It never hurts to mobilize a segment of the base---as Obama proved. Getting out the vote depends upon voter enthusiasm and Castro can transform Latino disgust with Trump into Latino enthusiasm for Democrats.

geek tragedy
(68,868 posts)1) Trump will motivate Latinos so they really don't need to pick a VP candidate based on that--diminishing returns to to speak;
2) They do need someone who doesn't undercut Clinton's core message against Trump--not qualified for the office. Castro is just not experienced enough.

(45,528 posts)they think they are all or mostly illegals. Trump campaign volunteers will be at the polling places challenging the voter registrations of every ethnic minority. They believe Americans are white and non-whites are from other countries. People at Trump rallies have shouted for black people to go back to Africa.
Trumpers have no idea how badly they are going to lose this election. I just hope they blame their party leadership for it and destroy the GOP and permanently weaken the conservative political movement.
