(31,997 posts)I love this show.
I just started watching from the beginning.
I couldn't remember which season this was in. I only have season 1 at the moment but will be getting it all before too long.

(54,035 posts)I just watched that Season Two episode on Netflix yesterday. You can probably find the scene on YouTube as well. "The Midterms" was the episode title.
It's a guilty pleasure. Usually West Wing did a better job of creating fully realized foil characters, often giving them rational motivations and letting them air their views, even if the Bartlet White House crew usually had the final word. John Goodman as the conservative House Speaker who had to take over as acting President was a three dimensional human character, not the whipping boy that the Schlessinger character was. I honestly enjoyed the original villains more than the straw dogs.
