(53,410 posts)My condo association is thinking about starting a crop growing project. They've already gotten everyone to say if they'd like to do it. It's a matter of planning now. I can hardly wait to get started. This photo looks quite nice and aesthetic. We have plenty of land which is now greenery and lawns but other than a sprinkling system there are no outdoor faucets. Maybe they can use the sprinklers and water everything just before dawn the way they water the grass now.

(62,531 posts)I was subject to the reign of terror of george w. moron* longer than the rest of the nation.
when he got in, sadly, as my gov. I thought to myself, I better start a garden.
I have had that garden all these years now. It was the best thing I have ever done.
I have already harvested over 100 tomatoes and well over 150 cherry tomatoes.
Along with 50 yellow onions and12 eggplants.
My peppers are now just coming in as well as my cucumbers.
My GF and I preserve, dry, pickle and freeze everything.
While it's a great thing to do for personal satisfaction, gardening (in my opinion) is now not just for healthy living, but a financial necessity.
