I've known Bernie was definitely not going to be president since the night before California. I was angry and defeated, but I didn't cry... so this shocked me.

I was about 5 when Adlai lost the second time and my mother and elder sister sank to the floor crying. I looked and looked.

Regarding Adlai...I was too young to remember him at the conventions. However I watched conventions at my mother's knee, and she told me many times what a fine man he was and how she admired him.
