(17,199 posts)For inciting enemies of the United States to commit espionage against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the people of the United States by illegally obtaining information vital to the security of the United States government, Donald J. Trump et al should be investigated and/or indicted for the crime of sedition.
Sedition is defined (in part) as follows:
18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
This petition will be delivered to:
FBI director James Comey
US Attorney General Loretta Lynch

(30,674 posts)Number one in the Republican playbook: attack the innocent opposition with the EXACT CRIMES for which YOU are guilty. They of course will be shocked and defensive, and therefore look guilty. Then continue the attacks louder and louder and don't allow any reasonable fact based defense to leak through. Ridicule the facts when they do leak through.
Result, the most honest of politicians, people we need in our government, are hobbled and shamed.
Who are these assholes killing our government? They can't be real Americans. Can they?

(17,199 posts)MALCOLM NANCE: To be quite honest, I am really stumped. I mean, this is unprecedented what happened today. I don't believe ever in the history of the United States has a presidential candidate, or anyone in the United States government, ever advocated for a hostile foreign intelligence agency to actually infiltrate or release data that they have stolen -- potentially stolen from a U.S. citizen or a U.S. government facility or server.
And then, to marry that up with the leaks that have happened this week so that they can get information out in a blatantly obvious political warfare/cyber operation that's occurring in the United States. It is Watergate with a cyber twist, as run by the Russian intelligence services. I really just cannot believe that any of this is happening.
