What does it say about our society that a know-nothing bullshit artist, first time . . . . .

. . . . out of the gate, gets the nomination of a major political party, while a woman who is arguably the MOST QUALIFIED human EVER to aspire to the presidency has to work harder than anyone for twenty, thirty, forty years to get a similar opportunity?

This has to end and it has to end this year.

And WE can do it.

have hoped and waited for many years for their vision to be realized.

On the right - "Get rid of these fucking immigrants and bring me a good job and if you can, get rid of anyone who is different than me"

On the left - "Let's reset to zero. How do we want to live? How can we save the planet? How can we help the middle class and the poor? WTF, why can't ALL people go to see a doctor whenever they want?"

It burns me up to no end these double standards requiring women to be plaster saints while men can get away with crimes ranging from dirty tricks to outright treason!

for the past several decades.

They know- the party establishment- that they have a big ol' problem, and it may have serious long-term consequences for them nationally.

There's two competing threads in American history. There's the red scare, McCarthyite, nativist, conformist tendency and then there's the boatrocking, civil rights, inclusivist, abolitionist, reformer tendency.

They are frequently at odds w/each other. Usually the reformist side wins, but it always takes a while
