Note to voters still unclear as to what is at stake in November 2016:

Muslim-Americans have died in the service of this country and Donald Trump proposes to bar entry to Muslims. Now you don't have to believe in or agree with the missions for which these Muslim-Americans gave "the last full measure of devotion." Some of them died in Iraq and Afghanistan, two episodes in the history of our foreign policy with which I strongly disagreed and continue to disagree. That does not change the fact that they gave their lives in the service of this democratic republic. But Donald Trump proposes to bar entry to Muslims.

There are few words to describe the piece of walking excrement that is Donald Trump.

1. What makes the sacrifice of these many "Muslim-Americans' even sadder,

is that they didn't in fact lose their lives in the service of this democratic republic, but rather in the service of the oligarchy.

2. The same democratic republic that allowed this oligarchy to be born is the

democratic republic that can kill it. Khzir Khan's son died in Iraq in the service of that democratic republic. So it is fitting and just that it falls to a Muslim-American to be the prime mover in the decline and fall of Trump. Something about poetic justice.

May the name of Khzir Khan ring from every rooftop and every church steeple in this land from sea to shining sea.
