The Florida Environmental Regulation Commission has voted to ease the regulations on water safety standards for The Sunshine State, increasing the allowable limits on at least 20 toxic chemicals in our waters. Some of these chemicals are known carcinogens, and this vote came during the worst algae bloom in the states recent history. Ring of Fires Farron Cousins discusses this.
Thats whats at stake in November. Do we really want republicans like those running the state of Florida that are willing to destroy our water even more so corporations dont have to regulate themselves? Is that we want in Washington? Is this what we want to happen all over this country? Thats whats at stake. Thats exactly what would happen with a Donald Trump presidency.

(945 posts)Whenever I see threads like these on DU, I just always recall the nasty pushback we got when we wanted Charlie Crist as governor. Instead of focusing on evil Scott, DU seemed more concerned about not voting for, former Republican, Charlie Crist. Welp, the DU complainers got what they wanted. Charlie Crist was defeated.
Moral: Vote Republican in Florida, you end up drinking up toxic algae water.
