Did the right lose all respect for the US military?

In normal times, Donald Trump's campaign would be over today.

He slammed and had high level military people booed at his rallies?

He insulted a Gold star mother and compared his work to the sacrifice this family has paid losing their son?

And this is just the two last actions.

But it does not seem it matters. Had we a real media, they would be hounding those who endorsed him, asking how they can support him. You would see some of these people unendorse him.

But nothing is happening. Sure, a few reporters and pundits are expressing some level of indignation, but Trump supporters are still on TV either excusing him or saying that it does not matter because Hillary Clinton should not be president and the anchors are just sitting there not contradicting.

Something is really wrong.

They used their faux respect as a political tool. Nothing more, nothing less.

Evidenced by their long sad history of sending young men off to war with promises of fabulous benefits for serving, on their return, which they later cut.

Until a few years ago, I had as a neighbor, a Viet Nam Vet, who while in a lookout tower, was shot at by a sniper. He bailed out of the tower and got caught up in some high tension wires and had both arms BURNED off just below his shoulders. He once told me that he, at that time, made less than in 1970 when he came home. I couldn't begin to list he horror stories he told about the continually degrading quality of care, over the years, at the VA hospital.

He lost his arms but still has his mind and is fully aware of just who, rethugs, caused his griefs.

But CONTEMPT for the military when they mocked a veteran by wearing Purple Heart
bandaids while nominating an AWOL aviator and his 5 deferment sidekick.

They've long used military personnel as pawn for pointless wars, then ignored their problems after they left the military.

But they once made a big show of honoring and respecting those who served.

Then they swift boated Kerry and even smeared cleland, who gave up 3 limbs.

They are a tribe at war against democrats, and they gave *no* principles beyond win at all costs.
