Store clerk dragged out of store and forced into car (postal worker steps around the mayhem)

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-man-drags-kidnaps-woman-20160929-snap-story.html

n was arrested late Wednesday hours after surveillance video showed him dragging a clerk from a convenience store and shoving her into his car as he struck her with a hammer, police said.

The mid-day abduction triggered an intense manhunt. Officers responded about 2:50 p.m. to a silent alarm at the store in the 3900 block of Denker Avenue, in Exposition Park, and discovered that the 28-year-old woman had just been kidnapped, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police say that Jose Eduardo Gaxiola Caro, 29, was armed with a hammer when he grabbed the woman and dragged her out of the store to his idling car.

Video shows the man tugging the woman by her arms as she tries to pull away. A postal worker was shown walking into the store at the same time, stepping over the woman’s foot and then setting down letters on a store counter.

someone who had broken up with him, or maybe someone who had turned him down when he asked her out.

Some men think women don't have a right to not be with them.

I could not just watch. I would have stepped in. Yeah, I might have been shot or hurt or killed but I just could never been idle.

Everybody has their priorities.

I can't save the world. Burning building, car accident, drowning? Count me in.

Domestic violence at gas station? Nope.

The back story is that he's been stalking her and threatening her and her family for some time.

What the guy needs is years in treatment with lots of powerful antipsychotic drugs so he gives up the idea of his romantic fantasy life that he's hung an unwilling woman's picture on. Stalkers are beyond sick and it does no good to keep them in the joint for a few months and let them out. They just start up again without treatment.

By the way, the story said he drove her to a graveyard and threatened to bury her alive. Lovely. There was no passenger door handle so she went out the window. Cops caught him later.

Just a shock reaction and couldn't really process exactly what was happening. Some people's brains can react quickly to situations and they can snap to it but not everyone is like that. It's unfortunate because it can look really bad, but it doesn't mean he's a callous jerk.
