Confederate flag sparks controversy at school (PA)

Students at Moshannon Valley High School in Houtzdale faced losing several school privileges after they came to school with Confederate flags hanging from their trucks.

The district's superintendent says they did this to make sure every student was comfortable at school.

The students at Moshannon Valley High School took down their flags after being threatened with losing their parking permits at school.

"In light of situations around the country the rebel flag has negative racial perceptions and I want to make sure everyone that comes to Moshannon Valley, students, parents, visitors realize that it's free from intimidation," said Superintendent John Zesiger ...
