Stuart? I think that's part of the reason you don't see much of him with the Con. Bad as he is, he doesn't want any of Christi's dirt rubbing off on him.

yet. That may change soon. However, lying to a U.S. Attorney or to the FBI when they are conducting an investigation is a crime. As is Obstruction of Justice.

Making false statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001) is the common name for the United States federal crime laid out in Section 1001 of Title 18 of the United States Code, which generally prohibits knowingly and willfully making false or fraudulent statements, or concealing information, in "any matter within the jurisdiction" of the federal government of the United States, even by mere denial.

As far as I know he's just lied to the public about it, which isn't illegal.

but....he has been questioned in person by the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's office. (at his home in Mendham) If he indeed lied to them, he has some serious problems. (in addition to the obvious serious problems the man has always had)

If he signed a perjury warning, then yes he'd definitely be in trouble if he lied. Otherwise I'm not as convinced they would have anything actionable on him.

We have had more than one former governor ...spend time in the confines of the government behind bars..
Perhaps you have heard of Blago?...Rod Blagojevich..Former Governor of Illinois..(now in for 8 more years, he already did 6...).............
something about corruption...!!...One case from the 70s, one fellow had stacks of money hidden in his apartment...stacks and stacks..something about bribes...now how could that be???

I sure hope the current governor of New Jersey joins that illustrious crowd....Yep..
