to while I walk. Streaming isn't working because cell coverage in my neighborhood keeps cutting out.
Any websites you can recommend?

(49,445 posts)No doubt. It's a really good podcast.
Ten episodes a month, each one on a specific topic. The clips in the podcast are from a variety of liberal shows.
And you can visit the archives, get as much add you need.

(49,445 posts)He live-streams about a hour a day and packages it as a free podcast. He also does a members-only "better half" after the free one.
I'm caught up to February 2013.
Trying...

(246 posts)KagroX (David Waldman) from Daily Kos does a show every weekday. It's more laid back and not "professionally produced" as some other shows, but I enjoy it.

(38,009 posts)Greg Proops. He does a weekly live set before a an audience. He drinks. He curses. He gets angry. The ways he meanders around history, baseball, and pop culture figures, you get a little lost, but in the end, he always bring you home to THE POINT.

(3,445 posts)There's a podcast, The West Wing Weekly, that discusses each episode. It's really interesting--Josh Malina, who played Will Bailey, is one of the hosts.
Some others:
This American Life
WTF with Marc Maron
StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson
Nerdist podcast
Kevin Pollak's Chat Show
Democracy Now!
Le Show with Harry Shearer
The Bowery Boys
Daily Kos Radio
The Most Wonderful Wonder
Remarkable Lives, Tragic Deaths
Serial
I also recommend anything from GoodTrash Media. A friend of mine and several of her friends do multiple podcasts about movies, books, etc. They're young and smart, and I'm amazed at what they produce.
Happy listening!

(2,535 posts)just enter dar.fm and they will furnish 5 programs a week. That means I can listen to 15 hours a day of people like Bill Press, Stephanie Miller, Tom Hartman and two more every DAY
Its cheap $50 a year!
Only problem, you have to listen to the advertisements. I have been using it for 4 years and like it. You have your choice of many different radio stations they will record for you.
Give it a look, you down load the programs and they are on your phone until you delete them.
Edit: listen to them when ever you wish.

(2,047 posts)It's a one hour, six days a week great podcast from Pacifica, free on iTunes, covering several topics & informed guests each day.
LeftyMom
(49,212 posts)so the content stays fresh and it isn't plagued by long hiatuses like so many of my other favorites.
It's hosted by brother and sister who report on National Security and Privacy (with occasional trips to Gitmo) and Education Policy, respectively. They're charming and well-informed, they cite their sources, and they aren't afraid to circle back to a story after they do some reading or to have a better informed guest on when they just don't know enough to say much. They have great guests and do a live venue panel show once a month that's always a nice mix of interests and personalities without being a circle jerk or a shouting match.
Since I've given up on other political podcasts because they were frustratingly inattentive to details I really like those particular qualities.
Also it's not a constant begathon and the hosts are holding down jobs aside from their podcast. Pet peeve there.
