C-Span callers are ridiculous

Just after the Obama speech on the "undecided line"

1. I'm going to vote for Trump because Obama is flying around spending taxpayer money while campaigning for Hillary
2. I have a question. Has a president ever campaigned for a candidate before? Answer: Yes
3. Can I vote for Hillary over the phone? Oh, no?

Not sure when C-SPAN came about, but I think some time in the 90's. Have the callers always been really stupid or did the audience change at some point?
