Most of them were heads-down trying to find 3,500 people for staff and cabinet.

Tangeranus is a special case, it seems.

He also apparently doesn't have time for his University fraud trial, but he does have time for this "Victory tour".

The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as a “government by the least qualified or most unprincipled citizens.”

Webster’s is simpler: “government by the worst people.”

And I always thought "caca" was just childish slang.

... of The Art of the Deal.

http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/07/25/donald-trumps-ghostwriter-tells-all

There was not a single call that Trump deemed too private for Schwartz to hear. “He loved the attention,” Schwartz recalls. “If he could have had three hundred thousand people listening in, he would have been even happier.”

“There is no private Trump.” This is not a matter of hindsight. While working on “The Art of the Deal,” Schwartz kept a journal in which he expressed his amazement at Trump’s personality, writing that Trump seemed driven entirely by a need for public attention.

In his journal, he describes the hours he spent with Trump as “draining” and “deadening.” Schwartz told me that Trump’s need for attention is “completely compulsive,” and that his bid for the Presidency is part of a continuum. “He’s managed to keep increasing the dose for forty years,” Schwartz said. After he’d spent decades as a tabloid titan, “the only thing left was running for President. If he could run for emperor of the world, he would.”

Trump's extremely short attention span, his black and white thinking, his inability or unwillingness to even read a book, and his short fuse make for a most dangerous person to have any kind of power.

Not by me, but others. You could create a new thread about it if you wish, but it's an "old " article.

It's not just Schwartz, but other biographers who were interviewed that painted the same picture. They said that Trump gets very upset if his faulty notions are corrected by facts. (That's from a long and old Politico article in which several of his other biographers were interviewed together, but I'm too lazy to look for it right now.)

It's extremely troubling! What if that idiot gets in his head that another country did something that warranted a nuclear strike despite the intelligence community telling him otherwise?!

By the way, I hope that you're doing well. I still recall your thread about cancer.

This country would need be invaded before I'd take up arms under Trump.

Glad to read that you're well!

You maybe don't follow football, but I hope to see Ohio State play Alabama in a playoff game later. The Buckeyes blew it last season against a less talented Michigan State team -- upsets happen sometimes, especially when the play-calling stinks -- and I knew Sparty would get crushed against the Tide. I'm not sure if any team will beat Alabama this season, but I think OSU at least has the speed and strength to keep it close.
