I have to ask you.

Does the GOP and their incredibly filthy rich masters have a method to their madness, or are they just insane, narcissistic, megalomaniacs? Screwing the poor, the Vets, the minorities, the elderly, the infirm, the children, hell they don't need Cialis anymore, they screw us all and have a restful nights sleep. Their miniscule dicks are so proud of themselves!

Their minds are so fucked up with their incessant need to dominate that they do not think anything through. It is about now, MONEY MONEY MONEY POWER DOMINATION, I AM A MAN, our future has become bleak because of them all.

Let's think this through a bit. They are going to rip healthcare from us by destroying ACA. Twenty to THIRTY MILLION PEOPLE uninsured. Those that will probably die in the next year will be 45K. Then they are going after Medicare, a life line for seniors and taken away, we will die. Then, sad so many did not pay attention. SS. For some of us that is all we have. WE will die. Fact.

So. Going a step further here. Thousands uninsured, where the hell are they going to go when they are sick? Emergency Rooms will be overwhelmed. Some hospitals will treat you if you are uninsured, others deny treatment. Fact. The bodies will be stacking up and the hospitals that treat the uninsured will be going out of business left and right. You do realize the middle class will pick up the tab in taxes until we ourselves join the ranks of the dead and dying.

Bravo, you want us dead, you got your wish. I am rushing out to find a refrigerator box now! I might make it another year or so living under a bridge. You think this is a joke? It is NOT. You think I am kidding? I am NOT.

GOD BLESS FUCKING AMERICA land where we die so the rich can rule.

The music died.

America died.

country for everything they can. Trump, is like the hatchet man coming into a corporation, and these are his hatchet men. Screw over everyone, plunder the assets and sell off what's left. Seriously, this is what this smells like.

They will rake in zillions, and the landscape of the US will be forever changed. When Trump is finished, there might not even be anything such as a presidency. A brief glimpse at history well demonstrates what can happen to countries and it can happen fast. Far too many Americans are naive, gullible and woefully uneducated in terms of world history.

Nothing matters other than the bottom line.

But if they attempt to eliminate or significantly attack Social Security I feel there will be a huge outcry. Even raising the retirement age from 67 to 69 will ensure that millions more will die before retirement.

One week ago. Early retirement after 7 months of unemployment. It is all I have now. I will get a check next month hopefully. Who knows, I am a worthless piece of shit that paid into SS since I was 14.

The outcry, hope it will be strong. Doubtful at best and the Koch Bros are laughing all way to the bank.

They apparently care nothing for the earth or anything else.

But they are very wealthy sociopaths with a huge network of policy institutes in 41 states that disseminate their propaganda.

Good luck with the SS sheshe and you are allowed to work up to a certain limit without lowering your benefits.

Remember too that Bush Jr. also had control and he did not dare to follow through on the threat to "reform" SS.

I know I can still work... sad that few companies will even bother to hire people like me. They want the young ones. Seven months and all the applications got me two part time offers for work when I needed full time for benefits. The other, ha! Full time! Yes. One of the job requirements was being able to go up and down a ladder carrying 50 pounds. I am 64.

I will look for a fun place to work part time. Have to find affordable housing first, HUD is about to be thrown under the bus as well.

For the year 2016, this limit on earned income is $15,720 ($1,310 per month). The amount goes up each year. If you are collecting Social Security retirement benefits before full retirement age, your benefits are reduced by $1 for every $2 you earn over the limit.

I think that's all it is. They aren't much better than their followers in terms of thinking things through. There is no long term game plan. It's all about them enriching themselves and fuck the future because they don't plan on being alive for it. It is all very self centered.

Think of a pie, they see a pie and only can see how they can get a bigger slice of the pie. Much like a five year old. Some others of us look at a pie and think, I need my fair share, and how do I make the pie bigger, how do I make another pie. If I can figure out how to do either I can get more, some others get more, and no one gets less.

Fri Dec 9, 2016, 08:01 PM
Dec 2016

If they start cutting health insurance, Medicare and SS right out of the gate, they'll be gone in 2 years.

It's gonna go like this:

Repatriation of big money (that's why the meeting with Romney) no taxes on the repatriated funds.

That money will be used to purchase various public works. The EPA will be used to shut down sewer and water and this money will be used to purchase those public works for dimes on the dollar.

Some of that money will go toward purchasing national parks, national forests, and other federally held properties. Which will have contracts to continue in the current capacity until after 2020.

Toward the end of Pence's first term (Trump will be busy 'shoring up' his utility investments) the economy will be going strong and people won't understand that the cost of that will be a delayed bump in the cost of all public services and an elimination of access to parks ETC.

Then after the republicans win the White House and congress solidly in 2020, they will dismantle the safety net.

Fuel will be cheap until 2020 too. Then after they've got it all set in place and are looking at another 4 years, things will get really ugly and there will be no recourse.

“Are there no prisons?” asked Scrooge.

“Plenty of prisons,” said the gentleman, laying down the pen again.

“And the Union workhouses?” demanded Scrooge. “Are they still in operation?”

“They are. Still,” returned the gentleman, “I wish I could say they were not.”

“The Treadmill and the Poor Law are in full vigour, then?” said Scrooge.

“Both very busy, sir.”

“Oh! I was afraid, from what you said at first, that something had occurred to stop them in their useful course,” said Scrooge. “I’m very glad to hear it.”

“Under the impression that they scarcely furnish Christian cheer of mind or body to the multitude,” returned the gentleman, “a few of us are endeavouring to raise a fund to buy the Poor some meat and drink, and means of warmth. We choose this time, because it is a time, of all others, when Want is keenly felt, and Abundance rejoices. What shall I put you down for?”

“Nothing!” Scrooge replied.

“You wish to be anonymous?”

“I wish to be left alone,” said Scrooge. “Since you ask me what I wish, gentlemen, that is my answer. I don’t make merry myself at Christmas and I can’t afford to make idle people merry. I help to support the establishments I have mentioned: they cost enough: and those who are badly off must go there.”

“Many can’t go there; and many would rather die.”

“If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”

What is cruel, under this administration, many will die. Not the privileged it will be the minorities.

Women's bodies are being attacked and our preventative health care taken away. Why? They hate WOMEN or something. Blacks will die, it will escalate, open hunting season now with trump. 'Cause why, they be BLACK, or something. Every minority is a THREAT to them, or something.

....is that Americans will not stand for this for very long, not even republican voters.

It's going to be a difficult few years (hopefully very few) but we'll come around. People will begin seeing their lives becoming more difficult, tougher to make ends meet, they're going to see their rights infringed upon (guns aren't the ONLY right in this country), and they'll wake up and realize that they're NOT "better off now than they were a few years ago", to paraphrase republicans' idol Reagan.

Despite what some call a Democratic "thrashing" (yes, I saw that term used right here on DU) on November 8, Democrats picked up four Senate seats, six seats in the House, and the Democratic Presidential candidate received more than 2.5 million votes than her opponent.

All is not lost, and although huge chunks of the south and middle of the country are, Americans as a whole are NOT stupid.

This country has become so powerful that it does not have any enemies. By default that makes us the enemies. People seem to need a perceived enemy. I have no doubt that most Republicans see it as a moral imperative to do everything they can to control and maybe even destroy us. We are not seen as Americans to many of them. Sad it has come to this.

The Republicans I know are very nice people when one on one. They are extremely empathetic on a personal basis. But in the abstract we are enemies and a threat that has to be dealt with as harshly as possible.
