They reported that the CIA and the intelligence community is concerned with giving tRump intel for fear it will go straight to the Kremlin.
Wow.
Shit is getting real.
ON EDIT...many thanks to "dooner" for tracking this down:

(7,239 posts)His constant tweeting opened the cyber-door to all his records and personal shit. There is a REASON presidents do not use them!! Obama is not allowed to use an iPhone because it can't be secured, and uses a Blackberry that was stripped down by NSA engineers and secured.
The Russians have been watching Trump for more than 5-years, think they didn't hack that tweet factory of his years ago...?

SHRED
(28,136 posts)...watch the clip.
I could have worded my OP better. It was more of a comment but in the context of the entire clip I found it revealing.
Last night I was stunned and hurried my post.
I didn't hear that this was the "official" position of the intelligence community.
Sorry if I misled in any way but the fact this segment made it on a major nightly news is very important.

(29,573 posts)set up of the victim and Drumpf's expected treason is noted. I presume the people in a position to do these things would know if they were putting someone's life in Drumpf's hands. After January 20th, Orange Julius Caesar will have the nuclear codes and all our lives will be in his hot headed tiny hands.
awoke_in_2003
(34,582 posts)said we should name an innocent Kremlin official as being a spy. That would likely mark the innocent Kremlin official for death. Your lack of concern about the life of an innocent person is also noted. But hey, why not? We kill lots of innocents with drones, what's a few more innocent deaths for our glorious empire.
On edit: correction- you advocated naming an official person. When it was brought up that they would be killed, you basically said "so what". You're sick.
rzemanfl
(29,573 posts)I don't know if Putin has people killed "on suspicion" as the poster before asserted.
awoke_in_2003
(34,582 posts)Do you advocate the arrest of innocent people? Your first post sure reads that way.
On edit: your words
"The CIA should give Drumpf the name of someone in the Kremlin and say he is an agent. When Putin arrests the innocent guy they'll have Trump by his tiny balls."
rzemanfl
(29,573 posts)possible agent of or useful idiot for a foreign power? Yes, then the end justifies the means. The key here is the person would be totally safe unless Orange Julius Caesar is a Russian puppet. I would like to think no American would convey secrets to the Kremlin, especially the President-elect. Please remember the thread is about the CIA fearing anything they tell Drumpf would go right to Putin. They know far more than I do.

So that is why Trump is pissed off at them? And refuses to go to the morning intel briefings?

Comrade McConnell specifically said that he would consider it a partisan effort to disrupt the presidential election and was NOT in favor of informing the American public.

(17,276 posts)I've been only watching ABC for the Sunday morning shows. The CBS guy on Face the Nation asks the questions but then has no facts or followup, and the repub walks away with the day. Over at ABC, George S. does try to nail them with the hard questions. And he knows his stuff. Just my own observation.
Oh, and NBC: lost cause!
We don't get cable anymore and good riddance.
Weekdays I watch PBS Newshour, which actually does investigative reporting! And NPR during the day.

(56,829 posts)sure, he was an early leader in the polls, but surely his big fat mouth would doom him somewhere along the way. I mean, this is a guy who called Mexicans rapists, mocked a disabled person, insulted John McCain, insulted the looks of Carly Fiorina and also Ted Cruz's wife, etc.
Early on, I think Republicans were also going by the old Reagan adage of not speaking ill of fellow Republicans.
But, he kept going and going and by the time the primaries got her,e it was too late to stop him.

(6,139 posts)I can see how many republicans will be so concerned now. It is no wonder Trump is not getting security briefings!
We are finally getting a breakthrough! Just think about it: NSA has all the information, e-mails, tax returns - everything, they can't release it legally so need beed to think outside of it.
I don't think Trump can wash away the dirt now. His legitimacy is forever tainted bypartisan! That's the key now - bipartisan concern!

(6,139 posts)Trump is a threat to American democracy, national and world security. If he gets inaugurated, I do not beleive for a nanosecond he would be impeached. If he is smart enough to get pass Jan.20, he will hold the entire GOP hostage. It is the most dangerous thought that he can get impeached.

(538 posts)I have seen some confusion over this even amongst more Liberal news figures, and I think that this is an important point to make- The Russian People are not our enemies, and they never were. It was the Communist Government that oppressed the Russian People and which was our enemy during the Cold War. The Russian People themselves were oppressed by the Communist System. Once that System was overthrown, it was hoped that the Russian People would get the only legitimate form of Government, which is a Constitutional Democracy.
Instead, what happened is that Russia was taken over by Oligarchs who are now under control of the Authoritarian Strong Man, Vladimir Putin. I point this out again because the Russian People deserve a Democracy, just like every other People and every other Nation. I have known a number of Russian People through my University, and they are all good people who desire a real Democracy in their own Homeland, and instead have Putin and his Cronies. So, our mutual enemy is Putin and his Thugs. Our allies there are all the Russian People who thirst for real democracy. The Russian People must be held separate from the Authoritarian Government that oppresses them and thus prevents real Freedom in that Country.
So, in sum, the Authoritarian Russian Government is our enemy, but the Russian People are not. The Russian People themselves suffer under Putin's Regime. That is why Trump likes Putin so much. It is because they are so alike. Both are narcissists see themselves as Authoritarian Strong Men with contempt for Democracy and real Freedom. It is important to make this distinction, because we should be working to help make Russia a Democracy by fighting Putin's Regime. We also must fight the anti-democratic Trump Regime at home as well. Russians who oppose Putin are natural allies to anyone who loves real freedom, and we should not write off an entire Nation that is suffering under the Putin Regime. So, Trump likes Putin, but I am sure he is dismissive of the Russian People who desire real democracy.
