(814 posts)and basically told them he was psychotic (hearing voices). It sounds like the FBI didn't do anything. Could they have called this man's local PD and asked them to do a welfare check? Asked the cops talk to his parents?
Unfortunately, you probably couldn't get a competent attorney to take your case - the government is pretty well shielded from liability.

took out the gun,

(34,195 posts)Cable news (MSNBC, CNN) is reporting today that the FBI called the local police who came and disarmed him and took him to a local hospital for a 3 day mental health evaluation.
(Upon discharge from the hospital his gun was returned to him)
