To My Friends Who Support Defunding Planned Parenthood

Credit: Planned Parenthood of Michigan

A couple years ago, I happened to drive by the Planned Parenthood in my city as I was on the way to a friend’s house for a day of sunning ourselves. There were people on both sides of the road waving their signs and chanting. On one side of the road were the “Christians” condemning those that walked through the door for abortions (this location has never offered abortions ― but no need to educate yourself) and on the other side of the road were those of the opposite view that understood the need for Planned Parenthood.

Admittedly, I got pretty fired up. It isn’t just the ridiculous inaccuracy of what many of those picketers were shouting, it was the fact that they were so quick to condemn an organization that does so much good for women and men that choose to be responsible in taking care of their health.

So I say to my friends or those that oppose Planned Parenthood for their abortions and selling of aborted fetuses body parts.

Educate yourself.

If Planned Parenthood is defunded in this witch hunt, where do women and men that so desperately need these health services go? As many as 650,000 women could be left without access to other health care clinics or medical practitioners who serve low-income populations.

That and the ACLU are the prime beneficiaries of my charity giving.

On top of everything, I guess those protesters have never heard of the Hyde amendment?

“(a) In general.—No funds authorized or appropriated by Federal law, and none of the funds in any trust fund to which funds are authorized or appropriated by Federal law, shall be expended for any abortion."

The anti protestors are really simpletons. So what if they are against abortion - they are also against adequate nutrition for babies who are born into poverty and medical care for them and their mothers when they are sick.
They mistakenly assume that every unwanted baby will be delivered into a proper Christian family and could care less if they are raised in environments where a child is not cared for.
How are they going to fix the unwanted children? Not their problem.

Seems to end when the child is born. These people are certainly not Christians.

they are pro-birth. If they were pro-life they would support health care and public education plus a lot of other stuff. Don't know where I read that but thought it nailed it.

bumped into them, and can't imagine why. This is a keeper; I will post it on FB for all 'those friends' to see.
