I'm not a legal expert by any means so please excuse my question if it is completely off the mark here.
Essentially, how are these 20 week anti-choice bans (which are popping up in states like Ohio) not in violation of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution and its ban on indentured servitude? State governments are forcing women into involuntary servitude to the state via childbearing.
Is there some sort of legal distinction I am not understanding here?

(145,289 posts)1. These laws run afoul of Roe and Casey
These laws are being challenged and so far most courts have found these laws to be void under Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey
