Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Congressman John Lewis should finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!

Trump loves to talk about "inner cities," but doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.
...from October:
Oliver Willis @owillis
im sure its a coincidence that whenever trump is referring to a black person - ben carson, steve harvey, john lewis - he talks about crime

(7,300 posts)When was the last time Herr Drumpf spent any time at all outside of one of his properties? To him, suburbs consisting of $500k homes is "inner city" and "slum". Fuck off, Drumpf.

(111,277 posts)thanks to the last Republican's stupidity. Inner cities have been gentrified, pushing poor folks farther out and away from their jobs. Marginal workers are now living in shelters or makeshift housing.
This asshole hasn't read anything since the 60s. He gets everything from talk radio and the TV.
Last decent model had a donut, sort of like Rochester's inner crescent. Downtown, nice; suburbs nice.
Now the suburbs are mixed, partly because of cheap housing and partly because of subsidized housing. Houston has a lot of territory inside the city that's some of the poorest I've seen. Outside, there are some poor suburbs but mostly pockets of poverty are apartments that were subsidized with rental assistance.
