She is the Tennessee State Representative who authored a bill which would forbid food stamp recipients from using them to purchase ice cream, cake, cookies, etc. And yes she seems to be a racist who represents a gerrymandered Tennessee district and is currently Republican floor leader in the Tennessee House of Representatives. Ms. Butt is an appropriate name.

I just read about your bill which would forbid food stamp recipients from using them to purchase ice cream, cake, cookies, etc. That’s right up there with your Tweet about the need to establish a NAAWP (National Association for the Advancement of White People), but I think that David Duke beat you to it. Don’t you realize that you are making a laughing stock of the State of Tennessee.

By the way, based on your latest pictures it appears that you need to take your own advice and stay away from the ice cream, cake, cookies, etc.

Dear Ms. Butts:

I am guessing you are a good Christian who reads the Bible. Do you have children?

Your bill that would fine anyone on welfare $1000.00 for buying cake or other desserts while on food stamps truly show your level of hatred for the poor. There is no topic in the New Testiment that Jesus Christ discusses more than helping the poor. If you were Catholic and I was a priest, I would deny you communion for having such contempt for the poor. Have you forgotten, "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me?"

What really bothers me though is that you be would be willing to tell some child they don't deserve a birthday cake because their parents need welfare to survive, yet it is GOP policies that have denied people a living wage and have sent so many jobs overseas and have caused the factories to close and relocate to the third world.
