Rain originally was forecast to start mid afternoon, after the swearing in, speech and parade. Now the forecast is calling for rain to start mid-morning and continue through the swearing in, speech, and at least part of the parade. It's not supposed to be a heavy rain, but it is supposed to be steady during that period of time.
Keep in mind, if you're going to be hanging around on Friday, no umbrellas are allowed on "ticketed areas", not that I can imagine any of us would be in those areas!.
The forecast for Saturday is shaping up nicely -- high fifties, some sun, no rain until late evening.

He didn't become sick until 3 weeks after the inauguration.
